There’s a reason why Splendora Hotel Hanoi is always included in top 10 lists of where to stay in Hanoi, Vietnam. Right smack in the Old French Quarters, Splendora Hotel Hanoi offers quaint accommodations for travelers who want to live within a walking distance of Hanoi’s attractions.
Boutique Splendora is just a few minutes minutes away from establishments and historical landmarks, such as the neo-Gothic style St. Joseph Cathedral. The hotel is situated in the Hoan Kiem district, named after the popular scenic lake that binds the locality. It’s also next door to a money changer/tour agency, small shops and a few hostels.
An overnight stay at Splendora Hotel comes with Wi-Fi access throughout the entire property and a complimentary buffet breakfast at its restaurant. Inside a standard room is a queen or two double-sized bed, a wardrobe cabinet, safe and entertainment. There’s also a coffee and tea making facility. The bathroom is equipped with hot and cold shower, a hairdryer and bath products.
Customer service is quite excellent, with a 24-hour front desk. The hotel staff didn’t fall short in providing assistance with luggage and directions. Guests can arrange for airport pick-up and drop-off for their convenience at around US $20 to US$30—and that’s per room or group, not per guest.
Renovations were going on at the time of our stay, which made it a tiny bit inconvenient for us who needed an extra dose of sleep. We brought this to the front desk’s attention, who gave us their apologies and explained the current situation. They gifted us a complimentary pack of coffee from a local brand when we checked out as a kind gesture as well. It was unexpected, but very much appreciated nevertheless.
